About Christina Anderson RDN

Hi! I’m Christina Anderson MS, RDN, CSSD, CSP, LD, a board certified pediatric/adolescent registered dietitian sports nutritionist.

Like your gymnast and many of you, I was a competitive gymnast for 9+ years and founded a 100% virtual sports nutrition practice exclusively for gymnasts.

It wasn’t until I become a dietitian nutritionist that I realized that what I had been doing with my nutrition as a gymnast was the complete opposite of what I needed, yet how should I have known? (Especially when that’s what everyone else was doing).

Now I have a healthy relationship with food and my body, and help compulsory through international elite gymnasts (and their parents/coaches!) achieve the things I wasn’t able to in my career.

Since 2017, I’ve had a private practice and worked with 100s of competitive gymnasts (compulsory through International Elite/Olympic) and their parents —teaching them to fuel for optimal performance without the stress or overwhelm.

We attract gymnasts and parents who are ready to put in the time and effort to optimize nutrition and performance. They are not afraid to challenge beliefs they have about food and nutrition, and challenge cultural norms in the sport. Just because “this is how we’ve always done it” doesn’t make it right.

I’m SO excited you’re here and will see you inside the Workshop!

Here’s a snap-shot of what you’ll get inside the workshop…

Part 1-Sort through the Nutrition Noise

There are a LOT of myths and misinformation in the gymnastics world about fueling the gymnasts.

Parents and coaches hear all sort of nutrition advice that often sounds “right”, but frankly is just about the total opposite of what a high level gymnast needs to be successful.

Part 2-The Gymnast’s Nutrition Foundation

The Foundation is a crash course on fueling the gymnast so that you have a good understanding of what needs to be in place before you even think about traveling to a competition. You’ll get our most loved High Level Gymnast Performance Nutrition Cheat sheet to help you quickly make meals/snacks that work wherever you are.

Part 3-Travel Nutrition

How do you navigate fueling while on the road, in the air, staying at a hotel for days, and having to eat out every meal? Some gurus might tell you that a gymnast should just pack every single meal and snack when they’re on the road to make sure they “eat healthy”. We disagree! It’s 100% possible to make meal/snack choices that leave your gymnast feeling amazing without having to pack up the entire refrigerator.

Part 4-Competition Nutrition

Do you ever wonder what you should feed your gymnast when their competition starts at 8AM vs 11AM vs 4PM vs 6PM or something even more random?

We got you covered. In this section we walk you through all different meet time scenarios and how to fuel the night before and the day of. This is invaluable!

Part 5-Troubleshooting Nerves + What’s Next

Does your gymnast get so nervous before or during a competition that they refuse to eat or drink (or don’t fuel adequately)?

There are some tangible strategies they can implement to help ensure their body is fueled properly for optimal performance so that they are not sluggish and lifeless on the competition floor.
